Have you ever wondered what is so special about this journey? Why does it attract thousands of people year after year?

The motivations that drive each pilgrim to put on a good pair of boots, strap a rucksack over their shoulder and set off on the road to Santiago are very different. Mostly, however, it is a combination of personal challenge, time to get to know oneself, interest in history, art and nature. Year after year, pilgrims cover hundreds of kilometres on foot, by bike or on horseback, through breathtaking landscapes and hidden, remote villages where time seems to have stood still.
